Safe surface finishing with epoxies, urethane, acrylates and reinforced plastics
Practical tools and guidance
Workers working with urethane, epoxy, acrylates and liquid components of solid plastic materials must be aware of the health hazards associated with handling those substances. Before curing these substances can cause health hazards. Cured coatings generally turn into much less toxic polymers. However, sawdust of newly-cured plastics can also cause health hazards. This leaflet is a summary of guidelines for working with epoxy, urethane, acrylate and reinforced plastic chemicals. It informs about adverse health effects of exposure to adhesives.
